1994 - 2017
Six piece band formed to play at a friends wedding, Clive Weir. What was meant to be a “one off' gig", ended up lasting the next twenty three years..
The Line Up:
Sel Nash: Vocal and Rhythm Guitar
Rob Galley: Electric Guitar
Malcolm: Drums
Keith McIntyre: Electric Bass
Jeannine Beatie: Lead Vocalist
Marian Burns: Vocal Harmony and Electric Fiddle.
The core of the band stayed together, Jeannine, Sel, Keith and myself, and over the years we had a few different players.
Other players included: Rob Galley, Peter Bayliss, Reggie Thompson,
John Scott, Mike Abbott, Bruce King, Malcolm...
Southern Cross was the Country band for the infamous “Kumeu Hoedown” for over ten years.
Played many RSA’s and Clubs, Corporate functions.
2017 - 2020 The Delreyders
Southern Cross disbanded, and Sel went on to form a new band - "The Delreyders"
